In March, FSK will begin the process of “FSK racism-critical”. With workshops and events by BIPoC radio participants and experts in racism-critical educational work, we want to create sensitivity, open access, enable empowerment spaces and break down barriers. For the FSK does claim,

“to be a place where those affected by oppression, exploitation and discrimination produce themselves”,

but it rarely lives up to this claim when it comes to racism (and other forms of discrimination). In a racist society that shapes us all, racist incidents and structures naturally also occur in leftist, self-organised contexts like the FSK. With the series of events, we want to collectively change these conditions and strengthen the diversity that already exists in our station and encourage more people to become part of the FSK.
